# Tise Alatise > design @ramp Location: New York, New York, United States Profile: https://flows.cv/tise I'm a storyteller, with an engineering education. Thus, I pursue design because I can leverage stories to solve real-world problems. At Disney, I learned the magic of stories and how to infuse delight into experiences. At Meta, I learned how to design in mature, complex ecosystems. At Figma, I learned how to do the job with managing stakeholders and expectations. If you'd like to explore my design journey in greater detail, I have a portfolio slide deck available upon request. My approach to design is driven by the invaluable lessons I've learned from my past internships, which have become the guiding principles of my design philosophy: 1. Show Don't Tell: I firmly believe in the power of rapid prototyping to effectively convey and communicate my ideas, turning concepts into tangible experiences. 2. Define Before I Design: I've learned the importance of thorough preparation and setting the stage for any design project. Just like a good warm-up before a workout, it's essential to stretch and define the problem before diving into design solutions. 3. Devil in the Details: I understand the profound impact of grid systems, spacing, typography, and sizing on the user interface. Paying meticulous attention to these details ensures a seamless and user-friendly experience. ## Work Experience ### Product Designer @ Ramp Jan 2023 – Present | New York City Metropolitan Area Leveraging stories to solve problems for: - Expense Management (Dec 2023 -July 2025) - Treasury (July 2025 - present) ### UI/UX Design Contractor @ Kurtosis Jan 2023 – Jan 2023 - Designed MVP of Cloud Enclave Manager (distributed systems development tool) from concept to realization (0-1), working with startup founder and 1 engineer. - Updated informational slide decks - Crafted promotional graphics Feedback from Kevin Today (Co-Founder): " @Tise, for being the professional designer that we needed to take our rough ideas and transform them into a polished reality, for your generative enthusiasm for the project, and for your patience to go through many, many, many iterations with me until we arrive at something Great" ### Product Design Intern @ Figma Jan 2023 – Jan 2023 | New York City Metropolitan Area Crafted experiences to increase paid accounts for Figma products on the Growth team. ### Product Designer @ Cornell App Development (AppDev) Jan 2020 – Jan 2023 | Ithaca, New York - I conducted user research, designed, prototyped, and shipped new interaction designs for the 2,000 users of CourseGrab (tool) and 500 users of Volume (media app). - I also lead initiatives to build community within and outside the team.
