I executed rebuilding the RealtyShares webapp, transitioning from the existing, server rendered ASP.net stack to a new, single page app using node.js and react. I worked on building the new frontend, and creating JSON APIs on top the ASP.net codebase to expose its data.
•Co-built an isomorphic, single page application using modern javascript technologies ( React, Redux, Node, Webpack, ES6 )
•Worked in parallel with frontend lead to establish clean, component based architecture, embracing code reviews and best practices.
•Utilized node.js to power the web server, supporting isomorphic rendering. Proxied API requests to both the new and legacy backends.
•Worked with overseas contractors to get signup data out of a legacy CMS and into our backend.
•Took over contractor built legacy app ( jQuery, Grunt, Node ), cleaned up issues, and ported relevant pages and functionality over to the new architecture.
•Analyzed the existing C# ASP.net app to identify what APIs were needed. Owned, executed, and documented APIs powering the entire investor side experience.
•Owned X-browser / X-device testing and QA work, during the early stages of the company.
•Drove several web releases to completion.
