I've always been eager to learn new technologies, which means that over the years I've had jobs focused on Java microservices, Ruby on Rails, Django, and even Yii. Every job I've had has involved some amount of front-end work, though these days I'm mostly a backend engineer and I'm a bit behind on the latest developments in JavaScript land.

Once seriously considered a career as a Wall Street trader and still an avid reader of Matt Levine.
