Within the Ads & Data organization, I helped developed the frontend component of the Yahoo Ad Manager Plus (YAMP) platform written in EmberJS. I was one of three frontend leads tasked with feature development, developer growth, and technical planning. During my time on the project I saw the team grow from less than 10 engineers to over 70 and achieving $1 million+ daily run rate. Using the EmberJS knowledge gained from working on YAMP, I helped form a weekly EmberJS office hours meet up which helped teach and develop frontend engineers to better learn Ember. Later I moved to the Search organization and worked on the mobile web search app written in React. Here my focus was on feature development and tech stack architecture improvements. Most notably on sports query "cards".

Sociogramics built tools for organizations to do financial underwriting based on social media data.
I designed algorithms for building and storing contact merges of Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn,
and Email graphs into one “merged social graph” of a user’s friends. These algorithms would use this merged graphs to find and select high quality friends for financial co-signing and underwriting. To access these various services and databases I built a REST server within the Codeigniter framework in PHP for both external and internal access. I order for our tools to be consumed Ih built an injectable form addon that would integrate our services with clients web forms for easy integration.

The idea won San José State Business School’s business plan competition which granted a $10,000 seed fund. From this, I worked along side two others to create CollegeNoteShare into a fully functional & revenue generating web app. My role as the technical co-founder meant I was solely responsible for all technical decisions and their implementations. This involving: building our RESTful API done in PHP, all database / schema architecture in MYSQL, and all frontend javascript work. The non technical aspect included managing and helping interns / contractors deliver features along with strategy planning with the CEO on longer term technical initiatives that the company wanted to pursue.
