I love technology, and more specifically I love understanding how technology impacts people. Personally, I prefer that impact to look and feel good when it happens. 

That feeling when a class is just right, the code working exactly as intended, easy to read and understand, man that feeling is one of the things I wake up for. It is amazing to not only 'write code', but to also know that I am contributing to an experience for end users. 

Most recently I was out at MX, building reliable and resilient data connections using Node, Typescript, Docker, AWS. 

I thrive in situations where I know that I am making an impact, directly or indirectly, on people's lives. With the internet and technology so thoroughly ingrained into modern society, it's no surprise that I've been drawn toward this industry.

When I'm not programming, I enjoy spending time with my wife Jordynn and our two dogs (Ood and Josie), taking advantage of all the amazing hikes here in the Salt Lake Valley.
