Provided engineering leadership supporting the Granular Insights and AcreValue products. Managed 3 engineering managers and 15+ engineers. Managed the hiring plan and promotion process.
Worked extensively with my product and marketing counterparts to build digital agriculture tools to help farmers operate more profitably and sustainably. Represented multiple products and teams during company-wide planning efforts.
Supported the divestiture of the AcreValue product and led the multi-team engineering and infrastructure work required to execute the transition between Granular and the purchaser.
Teamed with my director peers to refresh the Granular engineering career ladder, which significantly reduced noise and made expectation changes between titles much easier to understand.

Designed and built replacement geospatial ingestion pipeline powering AcreValue (an agricultural land intelligence platform). Reduced ingestion time by months. Integrated data-science team into process, allowing for more rapid iteration on land valuation models.
Modernized the AcreValue development environment using Docker. Assisted in transitioning AcreValue infrastructure to Terraform & K8s.
Worked with other engineers to bolster product stability through increased automation and improved visibility into key application performance metrics.

Leveraged Elixir to rapidly build new services allowing New Relic’s Self-Service purchase platform to use their new 3rd-party SaaS billing system.
Worked closely with Growth Marketing to implement A/B tests in application as well in the newrelic.com marketing and pricing content.

Extracted the Angular-based Self-Service platform from the legacy monolithic Rails application, allowing for much faster iterative development, as well as independent deployment.
Worked with product managers and designers to help launch a new cloud-focused billing model and New Relic’s Infrastructure product through the Self-Service experience.
