# Tyler Keesling > Solutions Engineer @ Okta Location: New York, New York, United States Profile: https://flows.cv/tylerkeesling Hello! My name is Tyler and I am a working in presales as a Solutions Engineer for Okta in NYC. ## Work Experience ### Solutions Engineer @ Okta Jan 2023 – Present | New York, New York, United States ### Associate Solutions Engineer @ Okta Jan 2022 – Jan 2023 | New York, New York, United States ### Software Engineer @ Fitch Solutions Jan 2020 – Jan 2022 | New York, New York, United States At Fitch Solutions, I've lead a variety of different projects in both frontend and backend applications. On the frontend side of things, I lead the initial effort to move our main web app, a frontend monolith, to a microfrontend architecture implemented with the https://Single-Spa.js.org framework. The main purpose of this effort was to reduce the complexity of refactoring an untested legacy codebase. This enabled targeted workflows of the web application to be refactored independently as well as enabling teams to independently release code to production. I was also the developer who lead the effort to increase our user tracking metrics. I implemented a set of standards and procedures, used by both product management and engineering, on how to use a tag management solution at scale and how it integrates with our codebase with minimal developer interaction. In addition to microfrontends and user tracking, I also lead the effort to integrate with a headless CMS, designing and building the foundation of our internal VueJS storybook and component library as well as the CMS's content models. On the backend side of things, Java/Spring Boot are the main language and framework that are used in a microservice environment. One the projects I am most proud of is our move towards a more event-driven ecosystem. I was part of a two man team that was tasked with identifying use cases for Kafka, designing solutions, and providing the initial implementation for other teams to follow. We deal with large amounts of data from numerous sources that all ran through varying, non-standard ETL pipelines/processes involving once-a-day cron jobs, CSV uploads, etc. This information fed what our internal and/or client teams consumed, but it was at the mercy of when the data was last updated. A lot of these situations were perfect for a streaming ETL pipeline using Kafka KStreams or KsqlDB. ### Software Engineer @ Import.io Jan 2018 – Jan 2020 | Remote - Denver, CO At Import.io, we deliver quality web data to fuel intelligence and insights.
