Tzu-Yun is a creative engineer, designer, and researcher playing with robots and physical interfaces around people. She tackles social requirements (characters, verbal and nonverbal communication) for home humanoids during her AI residency at 1X. 

Her work utilizes multimodal AI and LLM prompt engineering to craft robot behaviors in frontend stack development. Her research at Cornell studies the potential of living components (plants!) in robot design and explores the social values of plant robots via Research through Design (RtD) methodology. She holds 5+ years of hardware and software prototyping experience, 2+ year of mixed methods user research experience, with more down the journey!
