1. Founding engineer and long-term owner of Airbnb’s guest insurance portfolio.

* Led and contributed heavily to the product evolution from 0 → 1 through global scale, supporting 10M+ policies, $100M+ annualized revenue, and 99.99%+ fulfillment reliability.

* Owned end-to-end fulfillment, payment, and post-processing pipelines in a highly regulated environment.

2. Earnings Protection (Host Product)

* Leads the evolution of Earnings Protection, driving delivery from PRD through production under extreme ambiguity.

* Iterates through early experiments to shorten feedback loops and shape product direction, shipping in months, not quarters.

3. FX Platform Services

* Owned and scaled backend services powering Airbnb’s FX platform.

* Operated and hardened high-volume, latency-sensitive request paths and data flows underpinning core monetization, before handing the systems off in a stable state.

4. Org-wide Tooling & Leverage

* Founded and scales an internal Retool-based tooling ecosystem adopted by 1,000+ engineers.

* Built and promoted company-wide data observability, SLA, and alerting tooling that became the de-facto standard for pipeline reliability.

5. Emerging Tools

* Initiated an internal LLM-powered fulfillment diagnostics prototype exploring natural-language reasoning for complex system failures.

* Led a 0 → 1 internal data and insights platform aggregating engineering, release, and quality signals, used to improve release visibility and decision-making across teams.

* Built and operated distributed systems across the hardware–software boundary, working on drivers, kernel-level components, and system interfaces in large-scale, high-reliability environments.

• Worked on a NASA and NSF funded project, to build a complete communication system on top of an open source audio software called Mumble, to simulate a space shuttle which is used for a large scale study by NASA and several other academia including University of Central Florida.

• Worked as a lead researcher in a team of three. Proposed and implemented a novel overlay topology and routing protocol on Planetlab nodes, to improve the multimedia traffic management over the Internet – SMART overlay project (NSF grant sponsored)

• Devised an algorithm to improve video delivery over Wireless Mesh Networks – Distributed Session Handoff project.

• Developed a Ruby on Rails application that communicates with the Google AdSense accounts to provide comprehensive analysis for the client companies.
