Participate in airport and airspace noise and emissions analysis studies by performing quantitative and qualitative analysis of air traffic performance data. Support environmental modeling research projects, algorithm development, assessment and application.
• Conduct airport and airspace noise and emissions analysis studies as a part of the Next Generation Air Transportation System (NextGen) implementation by the Federal Aviation Administration by performing quantitative and qualitative analysis of air traffic performance data using Excel, R, and air traffic data visualization software.
• Streamline processes by developing WPF and Console Applications using Microsoft Visual Studio C# based on established business logic for data consolidation, task automation, decision support, metric generation, and data validation involved in analysis procedures.
• Perform software testing and quality assurance on newly developed tools by creating unit tests in Visual Studio C# while maintaining version control of process documentation and software to ensure output consistency and mitigate errors with GitLab.
• Prepare noise and emissions analysis technical report as part of the Metroplex Environmental Assessment issued to the public on behalf of the Federal Aviation Administration.
• Assist in technical writing and business documentation for Federal Aviation Administration's Program Management Office describing automated Excel reports for Air Traffic Control Center (ARTCC) and TRACON facilities. Accelerated documentation process by automating table creation required in report template.
• Support NASA research project (NRA) with to assist with a cost benefit analysis for a new traffic management system implementation, ATD 2.3, by developing scripts in C# for metric and airspace route generation, providing analysis and charts on airport ground data with Excel, and creating Excel dashboards to assist in simulations and display results of analysis.
