Hello! I’m Vanessa 👋 I’m a software engineer who loves working on creative coding projects that center art, design, and accessibility.

Over the past few years, I’ve worked with Remix, React, and TypeScript to build SEO-friendly, performant applications, from large-scale e-commerce platforms to mobile apps and internal developer tools. I’m inspired by technology that is accessible, human-centered, and ethical, and I’m always on the lookout for the next fun technical endeavor.

- Developed Premium, the company’s flagship product, using Remix and SSR to deliver fast, SEO-optimized e-commerce experiences with improved Core Web Vitals and consistent performance across browsers and devices
- Partnered closely with designers to turn Figma mockups into polished, responsive pages across browsers and devices
- Generated over $1B in annual cannabis sales by optimizing checkout flows reducing cart abandonment and integrating real-time inventory management through the development of a new in-store kiosk experience
- Designed and deployed new Rails endpoints to cleanly separate front-end and back-end responsibilities, improving response times and data handling efficiency
- Improved accessibility and responsiveness of shared UI components, ensuring consistent behavior and appearance across devices, products, and server-rendered environments
