Previously at ArborMetrix where I built a design culture of engaging our customers early through workshops and design artifacts. I built artifacts and processes which help the Product and Solutions Delivery team to engage, build and deliver intuitive solutions to our customers - enabling research and driving health outcomes while reducing the associated costs. I built the AMx Design System which made possible to streamline the product-design-dev-solutions collaboration increasing efficiency. The system touched different departments and made them self-sufficient to manage it. The design system includes a handy guide for building interfaces and data visualizations in the ArborMetrix world - RegistryX, AdminX, Persona Driven Dashboards, etc. Prior to ArborMetrix, I was at Enlighted (now Siemens) helping them build their design system, and also led the design for their Configure 2.0 application. Prior to that, I was pursuing my masters in HCI at the University of Michigan, along which I worked with Expedia to build a proof-of-concept personalized travel package booking application, and worked with the Expedia Mobile Design Team to redesign their Windows application experience. Before my move to the US, I led design at PhoneWarrior helping shape their mobile applications - PhoneWarrior and toost (both of which had 5+ million downloads and a rating of 4.4 on the Play Store). And was a consulting UX designer at DSYN, where I worked with various clients like Groupon India, Samsung, Reviews42, Sprinklr, Ola, National Geographic and other startups. ## Work Experience ### Principal Product Designer @ Broadcom Software Jan 2023 – Present | Palo Alto, California, United States I lead the end to end design of Day 0 and Day 1 activities for our customers' journey on the Tanzu Platform from discovery, trial, buy (licensing), setup (onboarding) and grow (Marketplace, onboard new products). I also led design for the Tanzu Intelligent Assist (TIA) in assisting users as they onboard on to the Tanzu Platform. ### Staff Product Designer @ VMware Jan 2022 – Jan 2023 | Palo Alto, California, United States I led the design for the Observability Workbench bridging Tanzu Insights with Tanzu OpApps (Observability). Previously led the Unified Observability pillar at Tanzu Observability where I led the end-to-end design for the root-cause analysis feature from research to beta customer adoption. I also led the AIOps strategy work for TO -- research, identifying core opportunities, working closely with the product team to define a roadmap, and pitching to leadership. ### Senior Product Designer @ VMware Jan 2020 – Jan 2022 | Palo Alto, California, United States I lead Unified Observability design for Tanzu Observability (formerly Wavefront). In this role, I am part of a great design team responsible for delivering user jobs-focused experiences in the TO application. Led design improvements for the service topology and trace viewer experiences. Currently, building out an augmented troubleshooting experience for our DevOps and SRE users using ML insights. ### Senior UX Designer @ ArborMetrix Jan 2019 – Jan 2020 | Ann Arbor, MI Led design at ArborMetrix. In this role I collaborated with Designers, Product Owners, Developers, Customer specialists, Sales and Marketing to create a simple way for our users (physicians and medical administrators) to analyze and understand complex medical data. I helped onboard and mentored fellow designers. I led the creation of our AMx Design System which became the single source of truth repository for UI, Reporting charts and marketing resources. I worked with other stakeholders to buy approval and make the design system a reality which led to enhanced collaboration and communication within these departments. ### UX Designer @ ArborMetrix Jan 2017 – Jan 2019 | Ann Arbor, MI - Designing the ArborMetrix Design System to ensure consistent design throughout all ArborMetrix applications, and seamless synchronization between design and development. - Designed the ArborMetrix MIPS application. Conducted user research along with the help of the product analysts in understanding the current journey of physicians and practice administrators through the complex world of MIPS reporting. Built an interface to simplify the reporting process while educating the reporter about the process. - Designed the patient engagement suite of tools, which allow Medical Registries, Hospitals, and Medical Devices organizations to better engage with their patients. The organizations receive a platform to better understand their patients, and drive research with the patient reported data, and the patients receive visibility into their progress along with easy management of their health data. User tests with people have shown a great demand for the patient portal tool. - Designing an all encompassing ‘Admin tool’ which would allow customer administrator users to manage everything with in their instance from users, facilities, to reporting, etc. and allow senior management an easy place to monitor activity at the organization. This tool is being built one component at a time, with the initial information architecture designed first. ### Design Mentor @ University of Michigan - School of Information Jan 2018 – Jan 2020 | Ann Arbor, Michigan, United States In my role as a mentor, I had the privilege to work with some amazing students from the University of Michigan Citizen Interaction Design course and the UMSI Design Clinic. I shared my experience in the field with the students guiding and coaching them in design thinking and consulting. The students drafted and executed several design projects solving their client's product goals. ### UX Designer (Contract) @ Enlighted Inc Jan 2017 – Jan 2017 | Sunnyvale, CA - Helped build Enlighted Design System for improving the workflow for both designers and front-end developers by allowing them to reuse existing design components and it's code for their work, thereby improving the efficiency of both designers and developers, and reducing the time of product delivery. - Helped design the Enlighted Where application by designing wireframes and prototypes for the 2.0 version of the application. I also worked on design the final visual mock-ups which I then worked with the developers to make live. The application was focused on hospitals to allows nurses to quickly find required devices, thereby reducing logistic time and improving patient care. - Led Research and design on the Enlighted Configure 1.1 application, which helps the company engineers to configure the Enlighted Smart system at client sites. User research included needs finding and formative usability testing, which was followed by sketching, prototyping and visual design of the v1.1 application. Documented the results of summative user testing to be used as possible improvements for the Configure v2.0 design. ### Designer I @ Expedia, Inc. Jan 2016 – Jan 2017 | Ann Arbor, MI - Designed the Expedia UWP (Universal Windows Platform) app & advocated for a tablet focused experience after analyzing the user data. - Collaborated with the iOS & Android team on comparative analysis & designing for accessibility. Worked on assessing the accessibility of the iOS application. ### User Experience Intern @ Expedia, Inc. Jan 2016 – Jan 2016 | Ann Arbor - Designed an iOS application (Expedia JustGo) that simplified travel package booking experience from 24 seconds to 8 seconds. - Conducted extensive user research through interviews and surveys to understand user needs in a niche, personalized travel space. - Led a highly user-centered design approach of iterative prototyping, consistently seeking user feedback through formal and hallway usability testing. ### Lead Designer @ Design Clinic University of Michigan Jan 2015 – Jan 2016 | Ann Arbor, MI - Led 3 design teams at an agency working with local entrepreneurs and nonprofits. The projects were Servuno(Babysitting co-op for parents), xPlor(Easing travel decisions for large groups) and MyFab5(Influencer Marketing for restaurants) - Managed 3 teams of 5 designer, managers and researchers. Oversaw and conducted surveys, interviews, focus groups; delivered interactive visual solutions. ### User Experience Lead @ Phone Warrior Inc. Jan 2014 – Jan 2015 | Noida Area, India - Led the design team and shaped design culture of the startup, which built 2 apps (Phone Warrior & toost) which have > 5 Million downloads. - Increased downloads by 500% and retention by 200% for an Android app in the first 5 months. Led user research & product design for a mobile app that lets users search for trusted local businesses in their connected network (toost) which grew to 1 million downloads in 3 months. - Designed a Merchant application for Toost, which allowed vendors control over their business profiles in Toost. It allowed users to understand user analytics, manage their brand, and eventually engage in paid media. ### User Experience Designer @ DSYN Jan 2012 – Jan 2013 | Gurgaon, India - Designed the experience, bought stakeholder approval and shipped over 15 web/mobile/enterprise applications for clients like Groupon India, RadioShack, Sprinklr, Ola Cabs, etc. - Successfully handled parallel design projects while collaborating with product managers and developers along with balancing user and business goals. Several Highlights being - - designed the award winning Asian Paints application for both iOs and Android platforms. Specifically designed the 3D room view for visualizing the paint and patterns styles. The application won the Kyoorius Design Yatra Design for Digital Award in 2013. - designed the Crisis Management Dashboard and Paid Media Integration for Sprinklr. Worked with brand managers, and customer representatives in Sprinklr to create an experience which made it easy to visualize and consume the information for the managers. - designed the RadioShack merchant pricing dashboard. ### Co-Founder and Author @ Thinkiota Jan 2011 – Jan 2011 Thinkiota was a Technology Entrepreneurship blog, which focused on upcoming and promising startups. This was an effort to provide every budding entrepreneur with the stories of different tech startups - about their struggles, their achievements and their experience. I authored several articles about various tech startups in the country, which involved talking with several entrepreneurs and discussing the challenges of the life in a startup, how the eco system was evolving and what would their advice be for other people planning to startup. ### User Experience Intern @ DSYN Jan 2011 – Jan 2011 - Worked on creating Wireframes, Use Case Diagram and Workflows for the Samsung Handy Application, which involved Samsung partnering with MapMyIndia to create the application which would allow users to complete everyday tasks easily with one single app. Other companies involved in the project were BookMyShow, RedBus, Cleartrip.
