Through my Economics-based Comics – eCOnoMICs - and the Savings Calculator App - Cash, Cash, developed in several languages, I educate and empower blue-collared workers in economic and financial literacy. As the founder of Socrise, I led my initiative in its nascent stages by presenting and outreaching to giant corporates to receive funding and support. I also contacted publishers to have my educational comic printed and retailed on Amazon and worked on the initial algorithm for the savings calculator app ‘Cash Cash’ before hiring a development team to build a fully functional application. This past summer, my team and I visited the local labour camps to distribute food packages and hygiene kits while also using my app to help workers adopt strategic thinking about their money matters and understand the basics of money management.
