# Vasudharini M. > Software @ Google (HW/SW/ML Co-Design) Location: Union City, California, United States Profile: https://flows.cv/vasudharini I am passionate about building products that users love and find meaningful. I have worked in various domains in my career, from FPGAs to Virtual Reality (VR) to Speech Recognition and most recently, deploying conversational AI/LLM models to hardware at Humane. What I have enjoyed the most is building excellent products by leveraging good software architecture that helps us support developing features users will love. ## Work Experience ### Software Engineer @ Google Jan 2024 – Present | Mountain View, California, United States HW/SW/ML Co-Design for Google Tensor ### Senior Software Engineer @ Humane™ Jan 2023 – Jan 2024 | San Francisco, California, United States Building conversational AI for new hardware products. I work on Speech Recognition, Speech Synthesis, and NLP/LLM integrations for the Humane Ai Pin. ### Software Engineer @ Google Jan 2020 – Jan 2023 | Mountain View, California, United States * Developed large-scale data ingestion pipelines using Apache Beam and Python for Natural Language Processing (NLP) models used by Google Assistant. Involves building scalable infrastructure to make training neural models easier. * Built the backend pipeline for serving the Speaker Diarization model in Google Cloud’s speech- to-text API, allowing users to detect in realtime unique speakers in an audio recording. * Developed backend speech recognition features in C++ for Google Assistant, such as Language Identification and Text Normalization, and ensured that these recognizer models ran seamlessly on Google’s production environment and on devices. ### Product Manager @ Google Jan 2022 – Jan 2022 | Mountain View, California, United States Worked as a Product Manager to support Google Cloud Speech-to-Text (STT) and Text-to-Speech (TTS) APIs. This was a short-term rotation role in which I drove the development of new features in the Cloud UIs for Speech. To this end, I worked with Engineering, UX Design & Research to propose new features that could benefit our advanced Cloud users in moving from a Speech API to a UI-based approach. ### Software Engineer @ Verily Life Sciences Jan 2019 – Jan 2020 | South San Francisco, California Developed an end-to-end prototype for a diagnostic ophthalmic Virtual Reality headset to automate common eye exams. Designed & implemented backend software stack for headset prototype in C#. Wrote VR applications with Unity, integrated Cloud data pipelines for our devices, and performed analytics/Machine Learning on user eye tracking data. ### Graduate Student Researcher @ University of California San Diego Jan 2018 – Jan 2019 | La Jolla, CA Designing a Convolutional Neural Net (CNN) architecture to detect occluded pedestrian views between multiple collaborating autonomous vehicles. Involves learning stereo depth of pedestrians from camera images, and using view translation to create a holistic road scene understanding. ### Software Engineer Intern @ Waymo Jan 2018 – Jan 2018 | Mountain View, CA Worked on LIDAR technology for autonomous driving. ### SoC Design Engineer @ Intel Corporation Jan 2016 – Jan 2017 | San Jose • Improved the efficiency and usability of the hardware reconfiguration engine of Intel FPGA Transceivers. Developed the simulation model for a memory-mapped bus interface that allows for dynamic reconfiguration of the transceiver. • Developed a device driver to interface between the on-board processor and Transceiver on Altera FPGA devices. Driver API allowed users to easily perform complex reconfiguration tasks in software, bypassing traditionally slower hardware methods of modifying the Transceiver address space. Written and tested in C. ### Undergraduate Teaching Assistant @ Cornell University Jan 2015 – Jan 2015 | Ithaca, NY • Teaching Assistant for Computer Architecture course (ECE 4750) under Prof. Christopher Batten. • Responsible for grading code functionality and quality for lab assignments; leveraged frameworks such as PyMTL (a Python framework for modeling RTL), TravisCI, and Git. ## Education ### Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Electrical and Computer Engineering Cornell University ### Master of Science - MS in Computer Science UC San Diego ## Contact & Social - LinkedIn: https://linkedin.com/in/vmann --- Source: https://flows.cv/vasudharini JSON Resume: https://flows.cv/vasudharini/resume.json Last updated: 2026-03-29
