I worked as a full stack engineer and 2nd hire, building out key parts of our frontend and backend. I worked with Typescript / React / NextJS on the frontend, and Ruby on Rails and PostgreSQL on the backend. I also used Python / Google Firebase whenever necessary to build out features. Finally, I have experience building in 3D using frameworks like React Three Fiber (R3F) and ThreeJS.

- implemented backend tests with RSpec
- used WebSockets to build a feature displaying total connection count
- experience working with WebRTC and ICE STUN servers for Multiplayer capabilities

In this position, I have been working with very experienced and talented frontend and backend web developers. I have learned tools such as ASP.net and Visual Basic, as well as improving my skills in JavaScript and frontend web development.

Largest takeaway: I designed and developed a course shopping cart feature into our already existing course selection platform. This was built with HTML/CSS/Javascript on the frontend and a C# REST API to access our backend and other micro services. This and other site improvements are still used by over 20,000 students daily.
