5G Prototype Modem
• Leading a team to create a framework & tools which extract KPI’s (Key performance metrics) from UE and gNB diag logs and display them on dashboards for 5G research teams.
• Worked on implementing 5G NR positioning protocol on gNB, which assists in computing UE position using RTT and AoA based on reference signals
• Lead the effort of design and development of internal tool (Python based) to validate FW, HW & RF blocks of Qualcomm’s next generation 5G NR modem prototype
• Collaborate with various teams (FW, SW, HW, Test, DV, SIT and external vendors) to define tools requirements, maintain development schedule and tool releases
Wi-Fi Prototype HW Drivers:
• Implemented drivers for high speed serial buses, calibration algorithms for ADC, DAC and other proprietary interfaces for custom prototype platform
LTE Firmware:
• Worked with HW, SYS and test teams to bring up LTE channels PBCH, PDCCH & PDSCH
• Optimize frequently used modules using intrinsics and assembly language to achieve 30-75% MIPS improvements
• Performed memory profiling of the FW build, generated the memory foot print per module basis and identify the modules to be placed in TCM to enhance the performance of modem
• Implemented features in FW to minimize modem power consumption
Femto Cell:
• Worked on DSP firmware to verify the hardware design for Inter-DSP GPIO’s, reverse link data path and searcher blocks for Qualcomm's EVDO Rev-B femto cell chip sets
EVDO
• Was part of a team which developed BIT( Built-in Test) firmware for Qualcomm’s EVDO-Rev B CSM
• Implemented firmware to verify the reverse link HW data processing blocks like demodulator, de-interleaver, interleaver, encoder, interference cancellation blocks, board level interconnections and interrupts.
UMB (Ultra Mobile Broadband)
• Worked on development and support of test automation for DSP firmware team
• Implemented firmware to decode forward link control channels
