Worked closely with product, engineering, and user research to launch experimental features that produced a 10% daily visit increase and user retention. Joined the Smart Contacts app to work on the Android platform exclusively. Improved its visual language and designing unique features for call blocking, smart edit, and incoming calls from businesses or friends, while improving partner integration with Verizon and Sprint for business listings. Led the design on the digital magazines initiative for Yahoo! Beauty, Travel, Health, and Style. Explored a new visual language across network sites, while re-thinking content experiences for the most monetized templates. Initiated and defined interactive tools that have proven to be profitable and successful from both an editorial and a sales perspective. Art directed full site redesigns of Cosmopolitan.com, MarieClarie.com and PopularMechanics.com. Assisted in assembling an IA department while creating wireframes for Cosmopolitan.com, Goodhousekeeping.com and TheSurvivorsClub.org. The brand work consisted of rich media banners, micro sites, emails and flash product demos. Responsible for leading a group of junior designers, developers and production. Worked closely with a Creative Director on strategic planning for future CA campaigns and new business pitches. Presented online deliverables to clients, under tight deadlines. Created a Computer Associates brand book, along with supporting marketing CDs. ### Senior Designer @ iVillage.com Jan 2000 – Jan 2005 Lead designer on advertising projects for brands such as L’Oreal, Kleenex, Dasani, Sony, Volvo and Colgate. Responsible for brainstorming projects from inception to completion. Created layouts, ad units, promotional newsletters and eyeblasters to generate traffic. Worked under strict deadlines to achieve a successful campaign.
