Involved in hard disk drives firmware re-architecture, infrastructure change, validation and tool development related activities.

• Worked on next generation SAS controller test-firmware development: specific tasks included developing test firmware, writing ARM Cortex-A15 processor startup boot-loader code, writing scatter files.

• Implemented NAND Flash, SPI Flash and memory testing libraries in C and C++ and integrated them with the in-house validation test suite for SAS controllers and expanders.

• Validated SAS RAID-on-Chip (ROC) controller and SAS expander on SoC and FPGA platforms.

• Designed and setup stress test topologies consisting of controllers, expanders, and SAS, SATA and PCIe drives.

• Resolved bugs and added features in the existing test firmware and validation test suits for controllers and expanders.

Worked on platform enhancement for the products-Flashpoint and 3D Creator:

• Customized and ported Linux on an AMD-Geode powered PC-104 board, previously running DOS.

• Transformed DOS based application software to run on Linux and wrote device drivers.

Worked as an operations engineer in one of the five 210 MW units of the Unchahar thermal power plant.
