During my tenure I built highly scalable backend systems on AWS using Go, running on different flavors of Kubernetes, and making sure they scaled reliably and in a cost efficient manner. I also worked directly with the founder, helping to scale the business and meet the needs of our customers. On the Cloud team, I became one of the main contributors and the architect of the Sauce Labs SaaS cloud codebase, written in Python, using QEMU, KVM, LXC, libvirt, implementing the infrastructure for Sauce Labs’ Selenium/Appium test cloud. ### Senior Software Engineer @ Meltwater Group Jan 2013 – Jan 2014 I was part of the team responsible for the infrastructure of Meltwater’s document processing platform, crawling, analyzing, and indexing more than a hundred million documents every day (backend of Meltwater’s flagship mNews and mBuzz SaaS products), running in several private data centers. I helped the team plan and execute the benchmarking, scaling, and deployment of its various platform components including RabbitMQ, ElasticSearch, Meltwater’s internal applications, and the monitoring/alerting infrastructure.
