My graduate research focused on learning and forming global inference from partial measurements. While dealing with large number of data sources, we study the sampling of data and its compression for effective learning and reconstruction of original data sequences. I also studied Bandit Algorithms for identification of source of information which are most informative. For this work, I was awarded the Distinguished Dissertation Fellowship from ECE Department, University of Maryland.

My research focuses on forming global inference from subsets of the data sources. The chosen partial data sequences are quantized (compressed) and then used to form estimates for the original data sources. We also focus on identifying the most informative data sources using limited observations in a multi-armed bandit framework. This study involves techniques from information theory, statistical learning, data compression, and sequential decision making algorithms.

Worked on scheduling algorithms in multi-user MIMO WiFi 802.11ax. Designed and analyzed new scheduling strategies and inputs for standards committee. Filed a patent based on the work.

Worked on synchronization aspects in TD-SCDMA. Resolved connectivity issues for high-speed train environments by redesigning the frequency tracking loop (FTL). Designed a new TTL mask (for time-synchronization) resulting in quicker change detection and faster synchronization.
