### Senior Software Engineer (Android) - Video Experience team @ Zalando
Jan 2025 – Jan 2026 | Berlin, Germany
- Part of the first few teams responsible for migrating Zalando's Fashion Store app from native to React-Native. 
- Built a highly performant React-Native powered Video player from scratch that would be used as a foundation for all video based experiences in the app going forward.
- Delivered first react-native powered video-feed experience in < 6 months of starting migration process.
- Implemented app-wide reusable observability and analytics tracking to ensure high performance for technical as well as business metrics.
- Conducted several experiments(MP4 vs. HLS, position based optimizations, lazy-loading etc.) to improve video load times to land at p75 autoplay start of 330 ms on Android and 181 ms on iOS.
- Helped deliver AA A11Y compliance for all premises owned by our team.
- Participated in load-tests to ensure that our backend services were capable of handling heavy loads during critical business events like CyberWeek.

### Senior Software Engineer (Android) - Feed Experience team @ Zalando

- Working in a cross functional team to build a brand new home feed which delivers inspirational and entertaining content to drive customer engagement. 
- Leveraging and improving Zalando’s internal server driven UI framework(powered by Litho(https://github.com/facebook/litho)) to deliver experiences that can be updated on the fly.
- Added observability to measure performance of video playback. 
- Helped reduce p95 video autoplay start time from ~1 second to ~800 milliseconds.

### Senior Software Engineer (Android) - Apps Engineering Outfits team @ Zalando

- Developed and launched several shopping inspiration and content features like outfits wishlisting, creator followership and Zalando Live, which is a live streaming based solution.
- Worked extensively on test automation to improve test coverage using integration tests for third-party tools as well as e2e tests for our own screens.
