Worked with Dr. Frank Mueller on a research project Parallel I/O Benchmarking.   
Abstract:
For many reasons such as migration of HEC application, performance evaluation of hardware 
required for HEC, benchmarks are used. Our work concentrates on generation of source code 
for the benchmark extracted from the HEC application. The MPI I/O traces from the HEC 
application are collected and used to generate the benchmark source code. This generated 
code is compact, portable and platform independent. It reflects MPI communication of the 
original application. These benchmarks are compiled and executed as regular applications.

I worked on development of a MPI application in C, Python, Djago on UNIX platform for regression 
testing of lustre file system on Kraken (4rd largest Supercomputer in the world). I also worked on 
developing  a parallel application for obtaining unique hash of the very large files in HPC 
environment which uses the Skein Security Algorithm. Along with this I also worked on the backend 
of the TERAGRID ticket search system. I designed the database in pgsql and implemented scripts in 
perl for the backend of that system.
