Senior engineering leader and Principal Engineer with deep experience in AI infrastructure, distributed systems, and large-scale platform design. My career has focused on building systems that start from a blank sheet, operate at scale, and become foundations for multiple teams and products.

I enjoy breaking down complex, ambiguous problems and driving clear architectural direction. I stay hands-on, work closely with engineers, product partners/executive stakeholders, and focus on delivering systems that are simple, reliable, and built to last.

Recent work at AWS:

Amazon Quick: Leading architecture and development for core AI infrastructure components that power the broader Amazon Quick portfolio.

AWS App Studio: Served as lead architect for a GenAI-based low-code/no-code enterprise application platform, taking it from early prototypes to a full service.

AWS Honeycode: Architected the backend storage engine; part of the founding team from initial prototyping through V1 and the early scale-out phases.

I’m drawn to problems that require long-term thinking, strong engineering fundamentals, and the ability to influence across teams and organizations. ### Principal Software Engineer @ Amazon Web Services

I’m currently driving the architecture, design, and development of key AI infrastructure pieces for Amazon Quick.

Earlier, I led the architecture and development of AWS App Studio — a GenAI-based low-code/no-code platform for building enterprise applications. I had the opportunity to work with some very sharp people to take the product from a blank slate to a full service. I served as the lead architect for App Studio (https://aws.amazon.com/appstudio/).

Before that, I worked on AWS Honeycode as part of the core group that designed and built the backend storage engine. I was involved from the very first prototypes through V1 launch and continued iterations afterward (https://www.honeycode.aws/).

### Technical Director/Architect @ Symantec
Jan 2010 – Jan 2017 | San Francisco Bay Area
Worked with Symantec's Cloud Platform Engineering group responsible for developing big-data cloud platform hosted in AWS and having ability to host and process petabytes of data into a secure data lake. Mainly responsible for the architecture, design of the big-data platform and ingestion pipelines running over the platform.

Currently the data-lake hosts multiple petabytes of data and is hosted on AWS. Data-lake allows applications to consume incoming events in real-time or in batch-mode. Initial version of the platform was hosted on private cloud built on top of Openstack.

Also architected and designed, from ground-up, Symantec's first marketplace for security applications to allow 3rd party developers to securely consume Symantec's data and offer valuable analytics to Symantec's customers.

Technology Stack: Apache Storm, Hadoop, Hive, Pig, Zookeeper, Kafka, Redis, Python, Java, AWS infrastructure and services, Openstack.

Also worked with the security and compliance BU on a product called Control Compliance Suite

Played a major role in architecture revamp of the product wherein multiple deployment layers were merged into a robust, efficient and minimal architecture. Played key role in coming up with high-level architecture, design and proposed/implemented several performance improvements scaling the product from 20-30k servers to 150k servers.

Technology Stack: C++ for agent and scan server, .Net/C# and related technologies for management server.
