* Led a team of 2 engineers to build and ship a new framework to represent IP components in Platform Designer using Java. The framework allows decoupling of components resulting in the main customer eliminating redundant logic for 2000+ parameters.
* Supported primary customer’s release by improving UI response time by 9.8x, prioritizing 19 feature requests, and meeting weekly to align on goals.
* Identified performance bottlenecks in a customer’s primary use case through targeted profiling of 150+ API methods. Decided which to focus on based on potential performance impact and effort required.
* Improved an API method’s performance by 14% (~700 ms) and reduced the number of command executions from 258 to 29 in one use case by creating a new batch API that avoids repeated Java / Tcl translation.
* Ramped up 3 overseas test engineers to write integration tests for the new framework.

* Developed features for Platform Designer, a system integration tool used by all of Intel’s FPGA customers. Platform Designer is a Java application that runs on Linux and Windows.
* Designed, implemented, and shipped a tool with UI and scripting interfaces to enable parameter configuration and updated code generation.
* Reduced the number of generated simulation files by designing, implementing, and delivering GUI and command-line interfaces for users to specify which files to generate. Implemented the feature in Java for Platform Designer and C++ for Quartus.
