New Product Development - Perforating

Performed thermal analysis of detonation control device:

Hand calculation using lump capacitance model. FEM model of the system in ANSYS. Test setup confirming simulation results. Recommended design changes to reduce thermal constant.

Designed and prototyped a more reliable detonator connector.

Set up and analyzed drop tests of perforation guns.

Centre de Recheche de l'Isolation de Rantigny (CRIR), Insulation Glass Fiberizing R&D group.

Implemented an innovative multi-coil inductive two zone heating system in glasswool fiberizing process. Performed hand calculations on inductive coupling.

Built an industrial prototype and conducted fiberizing tests. Quantified produced fiber using high speed camera, micronaire and MEB. Identified issues reducing insulation power.
