• Led the design, development and transition from ACH payments processed by a daily file upload to a system where each payment is processed by an ACH API request; the system I developed processed millions of dollars’ worth of payments reliably without ever double-processing
• Automated the manual ID verification process which enables fraud-denied customers to checkout quicker
• Implemented backup fraud-rules and simplified the implementation of fraud rules by moving their definitions from across multiple database tables to a single file in the application level
• Implemented credit card payment velocity rules to combat an emergency credit card fraud situation
• Implemented UI/UX changes in the member’s portal to enable members to sign up for AutoPay before their loans started
• Implemented automated ACH payment corrections, merchant-initiated refunds, edit-shipping address feature on Bread’s checkout review screen, syncing of email unsubscribes with applicant report exclusions, the OFAC-Whitelist feature, cart email and SMS API endpoints and the applicant report front-end
• Recommissioned 25% of integration tests that were broken and flaky and shared best-practices and anti-patterns with the team
