In one of our most recent projects, I guided the program through its research and design phase, designing user needs, specifying the context of use, and evaluating design before the program was shelved due to organizational changes. ### Designer and Engagement Strategist / Research and Design @ CARE Jan 2017 – Jan 2019 | Greater Atlanta Area Spearheaded development of the first Research and Design Team and Innovation Services Team, building the framework, style guide, and methodology and standardizing practices that have gone on to be adopted by 20+ colleagues and spreading globally. I led and structure research to uplift user needs and program challenges, working collaboratively with stakeholders to create and experiment ideas and build services flow to execute. Additionally, I co-created the Burundi Innovation Hub, a team that undertook the design and build of an innovation management system and I developed tools that fueled more intelligent business decisions and enhanced process management. Teams using this innovation management system have validated five successful MVP ideas within one year and secured $2 million in project funding. I facilitated varied innovation and design thinking workshops for CARE senior leadership across ten countries to advance program strategy, improve the experience and promote a design mindset in varied international environments. I fostered collaboration across multi-functional groups, coordinating and launching Relay! Gender-Based Violence Challenges competition in the Middle East, increasing visibility of a new partnership model and promoting collaboration between five country offices.
