Created a restaurant reservation application that shows images, reviews, and menus to consumers, as well as allow for users to make reservations. Personally worked on the menus' portion of the app.

•  Designed modular UI front-end components using React for enhanced rendering speed and clean separation of concerns
•  Constructed a proxy server that combines four React service oriented components into a single page app
•  Created RESTful API using Express to serve relevant information to be rendered client-side
•  Deployed microservice using Docker and AWS EC2 for scalability and flexibility
•  Increased page speed loads  from 30% to 88% by applying compression of static files and minifying code
•  Met all deadlines by following agile practices, time boxed effectively through Trello, bi-daily team stand-ups, and frequent git pull requests

Scaled the backend of a restaurant reservation app

•  Mimicked high traffic environments with Artillery.io for local environment and Loader.io to simulate on EC2
•  Devised a load balancer using Nginx to spread requests to 4 different server instances, increasing from 450 RPS to 1000 RPS with a latency of less than 100ms
•  Raised PostgreSQL query speeds to achieve sub-10ms reads on a database containing 100M records
