In my roles as a Junior and React Engineer I have:

• developed excellent React and Typescript skills

• gained strong Agile/Scrum experience

• developed robust and maintainable code and contributed extensively to code reviews and quality assurance

• become adept at finding and resolving bugs using my own initiative developed, maintained and reviewed unit and E2E tests written in Javascript using Jest, React Testing Library and Cypress

• collaborated with Product Owners, UI/UX, QA and other stakeholders to ensure work is delivered on time and as designed

• improved the accessibility of our platform by making extensive use of tools such as AXE and WAVE

• worked with CI/CD tools such as Semaphore

• contributed to a healthy working environment

As part of a newly formed Front End trainee team at Smart I worked on the UI of Smart Pension's core API developing with Ember and Bootstrap. After six months I moved to a team responsible for the Smart Retire product (smartretire.uk) which has a frontend based on React, Typescript and GraphQL.

From May 2017 to June 2019 I had a role as a VoiP Architect and Deployment Manager working on a project to deploy a Metaswitch Unified Communications solution in six different African countries. During the project I also made use of my voice background to take part in acceptance testing and general voice operations. The role involved:

• Extensive training on the Metaswitch IMS solution

• Creation of detailed project implementation plans. Co-ordinating and planning hardware installation and commissioning

• Travelling to Africa to assist with installation and commissioning of equipment

• Working closely with other internal teams such as Product, Engineering, IT, Procurement, Operations, Marketing, Sales, Service Delivery and local in-country staff. Reporting regularly to immediate superiors and project stakeholders. Working with vendor project managers and support staff

• Working on migration plans for the replacement of existing voice networks

• Leading weekly status meetings, ad-hoc meetings and vendor meetings as necessary

• Managing project issue identification, tracking and resolution or escalation as required

• Acceptance testing and troubleshooting of platforms after commissioning

• Creation of project, product and technical documentation

• Assisting with the creation of test plans

• Ensuring that network changes were properly planned and implemented
