# William Wang > Builder | Engineer | VP at OneTrack Location: San Francisco Bay Area, United States Profile: https://flows.cv/williamwang1 I'm the VP of Software Engineering at OneTrack, where I lead an engineering team building AI-powered systems that make warehouse and logistics operations safer, faster, and smarter. OneTrack is the intelligence layer for physical operations — combining computer vision, edge AI, and agentic AI to serve Fortune 500 manufacturers and top 3PLs across their networks. I joined OneTrack through a Northwestern extern project in 2018 and never looked back. Since then, I've worked across nearly every layer of our stack — on-device ML, computer vision pipelines, cloud infrastructure, backend systems, agentic AI, and customer-facing frontend. Today, I split my time between hands-on engineering and leading a lean team of eight, where I focus on building high-impact systems, mentoring engineers, and making sure we're solving the right problems the right way. Before OneTrack, I spent three years as a research engineer at the USC Institute for Creative Technologies graphics lab, where I designed and prototyped equipment and tooling software for research projects in facial capture and rendering. I hold an M.S. in Robotics from Northwestern University and a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from UC Berkeley. ## Work Experience ### Vice President of Software Engineering @ OneTrack.AI Jan 2026 – Present | San Francisco Bay Area Leading eng and vibe-coding the agentic AI future for operations — armed with Tmux, Vim, and all the latest and greatest coding agents. ### Staff Engineer @ OneTrack.AI Jan 2024 – Present | San Francisco Bay Area AI, Product, Research ### Software Engineer @ OneTrack.AI Jan 2019 – Jan 2024 | San Francisco Bay Area Using computer vision and deep learning to improve warehouse safety, accuracy, and efficiency. ### Graduate Student Researcher @ Shirley Ryan AbilityLab Jan 2018 – Jan 2018 | Chicago, IL • Applied position-based visual servoing control schemes to Kinova Mico robotic arm • Fused object detection and object tracking to improve tracking robustness and enable dynamic assignment of objects of interest • Located an object and segmented its point cloud from raw RGBD sensor data • Estimated a pre-grasping pose for a dynamic object using point cloud alignment and particle filter • Designed software pipeline using ROS and wrote ROS nodes in C++ ### Intern @ OneTrack Jan 2018 – Jan 2018 | Chicago, IL • Programmed UR3 robot to automate extrinsic and intrinsic calibrations of camera rigs deployed in warehouses • Developed and refined proprietary camera calibration pipeline to enhance usability and calibration accuracy • Optimized image data processing to locate camera rotational center at subpixel accuracy • Generated maps for calibrated cameras to improve localization and estimation • Integrated the calibration software into a ROS package and documented the usage of the ROS package ### Engineer @ USC Institute for Creative Technologies Jan 2014 – Jan 2017 | Los Angeles, CA • Developed xCapture, a scalable and network-based camera control software system that can control a large number of machine vision cameras.
