Tech Lead, Identity Platform

Building out a new vertical within IT Products; currently in semi-stealth

Software Tech Lead for Moxion Power. I started out as the only Cloud software engineer and hired a team of 8 [ 4 backend, 4 frontend ] over the course of 2+ years. I worked closely with Product, Design and our various Program teams to build out tools and products that served internal and external facing customers.

Tech lead for the Digital organization, which includes Firmware, Cloud Software, IT, and Enterprise Business systems. I've developed a high-performance IoT backend for sensor data, architected our backend and frontend applications, advised on embedded software platform choices and telemetry, and written manufacturing automation software. I've written all of or IaaC and manage all of our cloud infrastructure.

Currently building out our IoT OTA, Secure Boot, and Code Signing PKI infrastructue using AWS [ PCA, KMS, IOT Core, etc. ] and Hardware HSMs.

I was the second full-time Software Engineer hired at the company; we went from a scrappy team of eight or so people in a garage, to a well funded company working with some of the leading electrical cooperatives in the country.

Helping to build a lightweight Advanced Distribution Management System (ADMS) for Distribution System Operators (DSOs). Building frontend [ typescript ], backend [ Go, Python, Kubernetes ], and ML applications.

Workload Identity, Service to Service Authentication, SPIFFE/SPIRE, PKI. Also worked on Personnel authentication and authorization, Federated OIDC, AuthN/AuthZ application middleware, distributed security context trace propagaion.
