# Will Wright > Product Strategy & Design | 2 Exits | Designing from Insight to Impact Location: San Francisco Bay Area, United States Profile: https://flows.cv/willwright I’ve spent the last decade crafting human-centered experiences for complex digital systems. With a background in both UX and graphic design, my greatest passion has been combining sharp aesthetics with intuitive interactions to create seamless and delightful product experiences. ## Work Experience ### Product Design Consultant @ Threecolts Jan 2023 – Present | San Francisco, CA Threecolts is a private startup that provides B2B solutions for the supply-side of ecommerce marketplaces. I’m currently helping expand the buyer-side part of the business, including improvements to CamelCamelCamel, the world’s #1 Amazon price tracker (acquired by Threecolts in 2023), where we've made significant improvments to Camel's user experience and bottomline: ・20% revenue growth (YoY) ・2x holiday revenue growth (Dec. 2024 vs Dec. 2023) ・100% increase in traffic to Amazon (YoY) ・14% increase in returning users (YoY) ・31% bounce reduction (YoY) ・23% increase in engagement (YoY) ### Principal Designer @ Demandbase Jan 2020 – Jan 2023 | San Francisco, CA Demandbase is a private mid-market B2B company ($500M-$1B valuation) offering a Sales and Marketing platform for Account-Based Marketing (ABM) solutions. I led design for Demandbase’s AI, Data and Personalization products where I directed over a dozen design initiatives across multiple workstreams. Highlights include: ・90% reduction in support tickets for our Web Customization product through a comprehensive service design strategy and execution. ・Contributed to a 600% ARR boost (over two years) for Web Customization through relatively simple usability enhancements and a few feature additions, making it much easier for Sales to…sell. ・Shaped the long-term design strategy for Demandbase’s #1 product priority—Buying Groups—by directing multiple product teams through creative exploration and problem solving. ・Championed our design mentorship program, dedicated to nurturing a group of up-and-coming designers, fostering their growth in design principles and processes. ### Senior Product Designer @ Meltwater Jan 2017 – Jan 2020 | San Francisco, California, United States Meltwater is a private mid-market ($500M-$1B valuation) B2B SaaS company offering solutions for Sales Intelligence, Marketing Technology, and Public Relations/Communications. I pioneered design within Meltwater’s A.I. division (called Fairhair.ai) and found myself in the unique position of deciding which projects to prioritize, finding the highest ROI potential in cost reduction projects related to data input efficiency and repetitive (or one-off) human-in-the-loop tasks. Highlights include: ・10% efficiency gain in golden dataset time-to-completion by overhauling our NLP data annotation tool. ・2x data input, scaling access to Meltwater’s comprehensive graph database (the “Knowledge Graph”) by building an accessible UI for non-data scientists. ・Managed the design of a new brand language and design system for commercialization of our suite of AI tools. ・Built zero-to-one proofs of concept to test out bleeding edge AI use cases. ### Co-founder, Head of Product & Design @ Rainmakers Jan 2016 – Jan 2020 | San Francisco, California, United States Acquired by HireWell (2022)—Rainmakers is a business that connects top tech sales talent with fantastic organizations looking to hire their next sales rockstar. “The #1 Sales Job Board.” – HubSpot. I co-founded and led (and later advised) the product and design functions that turned this scrappy startup from a back-of-the-napkin (literally) concept into a successful two-sided marketplace for sourcing and hiring sales talent. Some of the many accomplishments: ・470% Revenue growth YoY (2018-19) ・55% CQGR (2018) ・700% Increase in Interview requests per candidate YoY (2018-19) ・7% Boost in candidate conversion (job-seeker signup) through iterative onboarding design. ・33% Reduction in time-to-hire compared to traditional methods. ・60% Decrease in first year employee turnover. ### Product Designer @ CounterTack Jan 2015 – Jan 2016 | San Francisco, CA This cyber-security startup focused on endpoint and network threat detection technology and managed detection & response (MDR) tools for cyber professionals. (Rebranded as GoSecure in 2018.) As the lone designer, I worked very closely with the VP of Product on several initiatives involving boosting org-wide understanding of the customers’ journey, a UI reskin, and the addition of several innovative product enhancements based on comprehensive research and customer feedback. ### Founding Designer @ ApptheGame, Inc Jan 2012 – Jan 2015 | San Francisco, California, United States Acquired by theScore, Inc. (2015)—ApptheGame was a seed-stage startup that created the first mobile daily fantasy sports app in the Apple AppStore or Google Play that offered cash prizes. I designed (UX, UI, Brand, Marketing) through several product pivots, from its inception in 2011 as an in-stadium food and merchandise ordering app, all the way through to its final incarnation in 2015 as Swoopt, the hyper-social daily fantasy sports app that had FanDuel and DraftKings scrambling to catch up (spoiler: they definitely caught up). ### Design Consultant / Freelance @ The Method Jan 2006 – Jan 2012 | Lexington, Kentucky, United States Starting a design business straight out of college, I leveraged my network to land print and web design projects for clients like: Monster Energy, Budweiser, Cadillac, The University of Kentucky, Merry Maids, Keeneland, Makers Mark and Four Roses Bourbon, among many others. Some highlights include: ・ Improved revenue margins for a major sports photography company by introducing innovative new product lines. ・ Increased market share for a commercial real estate startup through brand and market strategy. ・ Boosted brand visibility for the University of Kentucky's community of military veterans. ### Web & Graphic Designer @ University of Kentucky Jan 2005 – Jan 2006 | Lexington, Kentucky, United States My first professional design job (as far as the IRS knows) came during my final year of university at the University of Kentucky’s Department of Journalism doing layout, graphic and web design for the school’s student news outlet—The Kentucky Kernel. ## Education ### Bachelor of Arts in Fine Art and Digital Media University of Kentucky ## Contact & Social - LinkedIn: https://linkedin.com/in/willwright17 --- Source: https://flows.cv/willwright JSON Resume: https://flows.cv/willwright/resume.json Last updated: 2026-04-13
