• Own the checkout flow of all Airbnb products (Stay, Experience, Insurance, etc), and ensuring fast and smooth checkout experience.

• Drive new product initiatives (Airbnb Services, Guest Travel Insurance) that to expand Airbnb product offering and increase revenue.

• Build reliable and scalable orchestrator service that enables complex critical product flow, ensures data consistency across domains (payment, product, etc), and provides rich monotoring support.

2022 – 2023

Software Engineering Manager in Unified Data Service team. We enable developers to focus on application logic by building services/systems/frameworks that hides data access and management complexity.

• Data Access Gateway: Gateway for accessing TiDB and Aurora.

• Data Exportation: Export DB data to the warehouse in various formats and frequency, and export mutation events to Kafka for near real time processing.

• AirSchema: End-to-end schema management solution covers object relation model (ORM), schema definition, life-cycle management, and runtime schema discovery.

Sept 2019 – Feb 2022

Software Engineer in China Data Infra team.

• Building the infrastrucutre to localize Chinese user data, and enabling localized China Airbnb product.

2017 - 2019:

Rearchitect ads ranking into micro-service architecture for product iteration in the next 10 years.

Modernize ads machine learning platform onto Tensorflow-based deep learning ecosystem for continuous model training at Twitter-level data volume.

Built a feature engineering framework for pre-computing and serving computationally heavy features.

2014-2016:

Build Twitter's real-time, multi-tenant, multi-region, distributed KV storage from scratch.
