o Developed support for using failover data sources during down time to improve service availability

o Worked on data upgrade, including fixing code, backfilling, and version bumping

o Built data models and pipelines to ingest data from SQL tables into graph database

Data Mining:

1. Developed the user scoring/ranking algorithm (Python)

• Heuristically score each user by its activity, quality, and contribution to the app

2. Developed the restaurant recommendation algorithm (Python)

• Based on users’ past visits to restaurants, use item-based nearest neighbors algorithm

• Adjust each restaurant’s score by its popularity and trend

Data Cleaning:

1. Added some features on the internal admin tool webpage (Go, Dart)

2. Improved data cleaning algorithm with machine learning (Go)
