Full stack engineer & tech lead in the Life Sciences Record Retrieval team. This team built a platform to facilitate retrieving medical records for life sciences use cases. The platform serves external customers as well as internal stakeholders, who use it to fetch, process, and deliver the medical records.

• Delivered several internal and external facing features working across our new platform and legacy untouched platforms, ranging from our React Frontend, Django backend, and legacy Java downstream systems.

• Collaborated with delivery/operations & PM to drive scoping exercises for several features to figure out feasibility and design of what we can build to address specific problem sets. This was then leveraged by the PM team to finalize the design and work with other engineers to deliver the features.

• Onboarded and mentored several team members to help them hit the ground running and deliver impactful features to the product, while maintaining a bar for technical excellence.

One of the founding members of the Azure Health Data Services team, which built a software platform in Microsoft Azure focused on the healthcare industry.

• Developed multiple core infrastructure components, such as the orchestration platform, service provisioning for customers, service health monitoring and alerting, performance optimization, database migrations, and more

• Led the effort for integrating the platform with Microsoft Azure. This included coordinating with the Azure team on requirements and timelines to define all the work to be completed, project management to coordinate the work in our team, building out the necessary APIs and infrastructure, and communicating progress with leadership to ensure the product was released by the desired timelines

• Provided technical leadership and guidance for new team members to ensure we maintained a solid technical standard across the team

• Mentored several junior engineers to help them contribute at a high technical caliber, and to navigate their career path in the organization

Developed backend APIs for several customer facing features, and contributed to backend platform infrastructure.

• Developed backend APIs for features such as Guided & Custom Workouts, Golf, Care Plans, Social, and more. Worked with app and firmware teams to ensure the API designs were optimal for their use cases

• Built out the infrastructure for logging, monitoring, and alerting. This automatically detected issues in our services and helped engineers be able to diagnose, mitigate, and resolve customer impacting issues in a timely manner

• Fostered a culture of Live Site First among the team to ensure that any issues impacting customers were given the appropriate priority, and to minimize disruptions to customers

Built backend services for app features such as social sharing, article pre-rendering, push notifications and pre-loading.
