# Yicheng Sun > Product & Innovation Leader | Healthcare AI + Digital Health | IDEO | Stanford Location: San Francisco Bay Area, United States Profile: https://flows.cv/yichengsun I build products, services, and ventures in healthcare. I’m a product, strategy, and transformation leader at IDEO in San Francisco, where I lead the healthcare portfolio across payers, health systems, pharma, medtech companies, public-sector partners, and venture-backed startups. My focus is turning ambiguous opportunities into clear product direction, aligned teams, and offerings that can launch and grow. My work sits at the intersection of care delivery, digital health, AI, behavioral design, and service design. I’ve led programs ranging from small skunkworks teams to enterprise-scale initiatives, working across design, engineering, research, clinical operations, and product management. A lot of what I do is figure out what should be built, what it will take to make it real, and how to help teams deliver it inside complex organizations. My work has contributed to products and platforms across public and private sectors. For the California Department of Health Care Services, I helped design and launch Soluna, a statewide youth mental health platform that has since reached more than 156,000 young people across California, delivered more than 62,000 coaching sessions, and achieved a 97% recommendation rate. I’ve also contributed to cancer research platforms, clinical tools, payer innovation, and AI-enabled care models aimed at improving engagement, adherence, and access. I’ve been a lecturer at Stanford since 2020, teaching Design for Healthy Behaviors, where students work alongside patient-volunteers with chronic conditions to improve long-term health. I also teach Design for Extended Realities, where students examine VR, AR, AI, and other emerging technologies through a human-centered lens. I hold an electrical engineering degree from Princeton University, where I developed a love of tinkering, building, and healthy doses of solder. In my free time, I make ceramics and run absurdly long distances. ## Work Experience ### Senior Portfolio Director, Healthcare Product & AI Innovation @ IDEO Jan 2022 – Present | San Francisco Bay Area Lead a multi-million dollar healthcare portfolio across payers, health systems, the public sector, and venture-backed startups.
