# Yiqi W. > Product & UX Designer · Marketplaces & Platforms · Provider tools & high-traffic consumer flows · Design systems & AI-assisted workflows Location: San Francisco Bay Area, United States Profile: https://flows.cv/yiqi I’m a Product & UX designer focused on marketplaces and platforms. I design provider tools and high-traffic consumer flows, turning messy operations into clear, scalable experiences. I approach problems by breaking down ambiguous workflows into clear constraints and solution spaces, focusing on what actually drives user decisions and system behavior. My background in architecture and product design makes me obsessed with systems: onboarding, inventory, booking funnels, and the design systems that hold them together. I care about how things run in production, not just how they look in a mockup. Recently I’ve been working on tools for high-volume providers and rental funnels used by hundreds of thousands of travelers, partnering with engineering and business stakeholders to balance usability, ops efficiency, and growth. I also work across design and implementation, using HTML/CSS/JS and AI-assisted tools to prototype, validate, and bridge the gap between design and production. ## Work Experience ### Senior User Experience Designer @ BabyQuip Jan 2024 – Present | Santa Fe, NM ― Own the end-to-end UX for BabyQuip’s consumer rental funnel (search → trip details → checkout) across web & mobile for a site with ~250K+ monthly active users. ― Design provider tools for ~3.7k active Quality Providers, including gear management, packages, and onboarding flows that support high-volume edits and reduce manual ops work. ― Use behavioral data, funnel analysis, and customer feedback to identify friction points, break down complex marketplace and operational problems, and guide UX decisions across booking and provider tools. ― Collaborate with remote dev teams, debugging and validating implementation using Chrome DevTools, with working knowledge of HTML/CSS/JS to keep design and production aligned. ### Product Designer & Front-end Builder @ Personal Projects Jan 2020 – Present | Berkeley, CA ― Design and maintain an ongoing portfolio platform, bridging design and implementation through a custom front-end system. ― Leveraged AI-assisted tools (e.g., Codex) to define structure, iterate on existing code, and rapidly iterate and refine features ― Created a reusable responsive grid and component library, keeping visual design and implementation in sync. ### User Experience Designer @ Book Your Pet Jan 2021 – Jan 2024 | Calabasas, California, United States ― Solo UX designer for an end-to-end B2B subscription platform, working directly with the CEO and CTO on service setup, scheduling, and online booking tools for pet-care businesses. ― Designed a configurable system for different business types and hybrids (grooming, walking, training), so complex services and pricing could share one booking & calendar model. ― Created a Figma-based design system and shaped the pet-parent booking experience so service options, time slots, and add-ons stayed consistent with how each business actually operates. ### Product Designer @ LASO Health Jan 2023 – Jan 2024 | San Antonio, Texas ― Led the 0–1 design of an Admin Panel for user management and sales teams, partnering closely with PMs and developers. ― Designed and simplified patient-facing flows, including a cost-benefit calculator and key marketing / app journeys, to clarify subscription options and reduce drop-off. ### Architectural Designer @ Büro Ole Scheeren Jan 2017 – Jan 2018 | Beijing City, China ― Produced design packages, 3D models, and visualizations for large commercial projects, coordinating with in-house and external teams. ### Summer Intern @ Indesign Studio Inc Jan 2017 – Jan 2017 | New York, New York ― Conducted zoning code research.
