Building SOC+software to put TVs on the Internet, while incumbent multimedia chip companies were focusing on Blue-Ray. Realtek's all-format media SOC debuted in 2009, and created a new category - smart TV / digital Media Player.  Shipment grew to 2.7 million units in 6 months, and 7 million in 18. Its success kicked off the transition to smart TV.
Led an international team across all functions of software to deliver smart TV solutions - driver, OS and application.

Lawful Intercept (CALEA compliance) implementation on 7600 router platform. Bring-up, driver and software development on 40G linecard in 7600 chassis.

### Software Engineer @ Afara (Acquired by Sun)
Jan 2001 – Jan 2005
Commercializing multi-core/multi-thread CPU architecture, while incumbent CPU companies were focusing on single thread performance. Afara was acquired by Sun, and became the 8-core, 4-threads/core UltraSparc T1.  UltraSparc T1 outperformed competitor by 10x in specweb. Its success transitioned CPU design from instruction level parallelism to process/thread level parallelism.
Pre-silicon verification and driver development for packet processing logic to drive full CPU utilization under network workload.

Piloting group-based security network through kernel hacking in Linux TCP/IP stack.
