I took the initiative to coordinate and plan an event for O4B at the Facebook headquarters to provide our members an inside look of what it is like to work for one of the top tech companies. By working with a liaison from Facebook, I was able to recruit Facebook employees to participate in a Q/A panel, to give a tour, and to network with our members at a lunch. I also coordinated the logistics and finances to bring 13 O4B members to the campus in a timely manner. After the event, I sent out a feedback form to obtain data from those who attended to determine how our attendees enjoyed the event and what we could do better. In addition, I was in charge of managing a group of interns who are interested in becoming executive members on our board. My job was to give them a hollistic view of our organization as well as develop and support them professionally so they are fully prepared to take on a leadership position.
