I enjoy thinking through and solving problems efficiently.  In math classes in middle and high school, we would often get problems that involved plugging numbers into the same few equations over and over.  To save me the hassle of typing out the whole equation every time, I would write programs on my calculator that let me type in the variables and would show me the final and any intermediate results.  I really enjoyed using computer programs to save time in the long run, and it made me interested in using Excel and Java.  I found that computer programming is a powerful tool for solving problems, and it made me want to learn more.

I graduated from the University of Rochester with a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering and a minor in Computer Science in May 2018.   I have been able to find out more about using computers to solve problems, and I have developed skills that will help me to turn my interest into a career.

In my internship with the Analytics Department of the Buffalo Bills, I was able to combine my love of football and the Bills with my skills of data analysis and computer programming.  I got to see my work directly helping my favorite professional sports team, contributing to better decision making on and off the field.

In my internship with Xerox, I developed and tested software for customization of Xerox products.  I broadened my database and programming skills.  I created tools that were shared and used by the entire team and contributed to the team’s completing a major project ahead of schedule.
