Laid off due to 50% reduction in force, COVID-19
•One of four developers on the Onboarding Journey team tasked with transforming the onboarding experience for new customers at Toast. Reduced the time it takes for a new customer to onboard from a potential opportunity to a fully functional Toast customer and save hours of time Toast employees need to spend in manual work. This project went GA to all of our sales org right before I left and had over 300 successful restaurant go lives in around a 6 month period.
•Developed onboarding journey using mainly Kotlin, React, GraphQL, dynamodb with some Node and Java.
•Some major features I helped directly with included self schedule-able appointments, menu upload, guided surveys to replace manual calls with Toast reps, enhancing the restaurant create process.
•The last project of mine with Toast was creating an onboarding portal for Toast and non-Toast customers who wanted to enable curbside pickup and online ordering during this COVID-19 pandemic that was developed in a week of time with another teammate. Since being launched, this portal had helped over 300 restaurants onboard themselves to Toast in this unprecedented time.
