•Find the clothes you want, fast. Download on iOS.
•I thought Google's Image Search feature at the time was lack luster. So I built this. Not on the App Store anymore because it was more expensive to run than the amount of customers I served.
•First version was built as a Google Chrome plugin. However after speaking with users, they all primarily searched for clothes on their phone! So I shifted to an app.
•Built using React Native / NodeJS. I scraped Google's search results and built better filters / actually good UI/UX on top of it. Motivation for building was my own frustrations of trying to find specific items.
•Conducted 50 user interviews and narrowed towards an MVP that users actually wanted.
•Main growth engine was scrappy. I individually messaged users on Reddit in r/findfashion who screenshotted/took a photo of a particular clothing item they wanted but couldn't find anywhere . I'd use my app to find what they were looking for and then I'd post links to it. I'd then say hey I found these using this app I built, give it a try. Got hundreds of users from this. Also ran paid ads on Reddit/FB.
