Developed core features for a project management web application that was concurrently used by the entire company. Worked with CEO to gather requirements and discuss design. Built object model and user interaction functionality in Javascript ES6. Implemented backwards compatibility so application is usable during development. Deployed the project on Apache Tomcat web server.
Co-authored paper on analyzing health damages based on the California emissions inventory. Analyzed aggregated data using Python data science libraries.
Received joint patent and co-authored paper (accepted to IEEE Cloud) for new Kubernetes scheduler algorithm with 18-19% server uptime optimality gap compared to state-of-the-art. Modified Kubernetes open source code to implement custom scheduler. Ran Python simulations to compare algorithms. Installed cluster of Kubernetes nodes on fresh Linux virtual machines. Wrote shell scripts to automate various processes such as scraping data from the web. Queried MySQL databases to analyze ticket data about server downtime.
