I am a learner and a maker, with a commitment to using technology for good. I have strong analytical experience in applying data cleaning, visualization, and analysis methods and statistical tests to real, messy data in R and Python.
I am currently co-developing new year-long curriculums for Healthcare & Tech and Data Science, using Python and LaTeX. The lessons cover areas such as data cleaning, data visualization, ethics in working with data, and more. We are already at 116 pages and growing!
The Coding School is a non-profit dedicated to improving computer science education access for underrepresented students across the globe. CodeConnects, reachable at https://codeconnects.org/, is the online platform that connects students and tutors for 1-on-1 lessons in a variety of tech-related tracks.
I was a server intern on the Instagram Growth Activation team. Over the course of the internship, I developed new user-facing product features end-to-end using Python's Django framework for the backend and Javascript's React framework for the front-end, conducted A/B testing to evaluate impact, and collaborated with cross-functional partners, including product management, design, content strategy, and privacy. These projects improved topline metrics for the team, including global monthly active users and US daily active users. Through these experiences, I learned more about client-server protocol, API design, and better engineering practices such as test-driven development.
I lead weekly recitation sections and hold office hours to support students in the computer architecture course. This covers programming in C, memory management, assembly languages via MIPS, digital logic in Logisim, caches, etc.
