I’m a web developer with over 5 years of experience. My background includes three years of experience building features used by recruiters and students on Handshake and nearly two years of experience working on a frontend platform team. In the latter role, I’ve contributed to Handshake’s design system, built tooling to support product engineers, and improved the performance and maintainability of Handshake’s codebase.

I love diving into the details of React and Typescript as well as native web technologies like HTML and web APIs. One of my passions is figuring out how to incorporate elements of newer, faster technologies into legacy codebases. I’ve always enjoyed creating documentation and sharing knowledge with others, whether it’s through collaboration, presentation, or mentorship.

- Build and maintain frontend developer tooling and build processes including Webpack, Nx, Eslint, Typescript, and dependency upgrades
- Build dev tools to support frontend development at Handshake such as code generators and custom ESLint rules
- Create engineering-wide documentation about frontend best practices and tooling

- Work with product manager, product designer, and peer engineers to build enterprise and consumer features in Handshake

### Software Engineer I @ Handshake

- Led team to deliver a new check-in kiosk feature built entirely with components from a new design system.
- Within the first week of release, over 6,000 users had successfully checked into the new kiosk.
- Drove team productivity and code quality through code reviews and contributions to sprint work.

### Associate Software Engineer @ Handshake

- Used Ruby, Rails, TypeScript, and the Ruby DSL for Elasticsearch to build enterprise features for recruiters using the Handshake app
- Contributed to a migration of testing frameworks (Mocha to Jest), which expanded the features that developers were able to leverage when testing code and led to better quality testing.
