Full stack web developer with a passion for building products that offer convenience, simplicity and solutions for users. That moment when I saw how machine learning advanced in AlphaGo (2017), I was instantly drawn into the fantastic world of programming and technology. My personal projects leverage extensive knowledge of Ruby on Rails, JavaScript, and React as well as Node.js. Being fluent in Mandarin Chinese and having a background in international education, I possess strong communication skills and can interact effectively with both clients and co-workers. I am fully committed to providing and implementing dynamic and compelling solutions to ever-changing objectives.

I have over 4 years of student recruitment experience in higher education with a focus on Masters. During which I developed a strong interest in building my own products while working with various program directors. This was channelled into programming after I watched the documentary AlphaGo --- I found myself coding over 10 hours per day but stayed as fascinated.

Before I joined Flatiron School, I taught myself JavaScript, Ruby and Node.js. Using the skills that I learned, I built my first Szechuan cuisine website Five Spice (you can find the demo below) and decided to pursue this career as a programmer. Now proficient in JavaScript, Ruby on Rails, Node.js as well as React & Redux, I am looking forward to creating more powerful and innovative applications.
