Traveled to Bolivia during the summer of 2023 for an in-person implementation of latrine construction.

In the internship, I focused on environmental justice projects in the Bayview/Hunters Point neighborhood in San Francisco. With other interns, we proposed various solutions to waste, poor air quality and food deserts in the area. I also had a mentor at HDR who helped me interview various colleagues to learn what a engineer does. With HDR, I, along with other inters, wrote a mock proposal for a waste stabilization pond.
