• Designed mechanical enclosure for integrating optical lens, fibers and PCBAs with hermetical sealing for WSS products, designed and implemented new fixtures for mechanical and environmental lab testing.
• Worked with teammates and global MFG vendors for full-cycle WSS product development, which includes optical enclosure and benches design, prototyping, testing and high volume production.
• Collaborated with cross-functional teams to define mechanical constraints/requirements for PCBAs, optical lens and fiber routing.
• Developed alignment techniques and assembly processes to improve operator’s efficiency.
• Fabricate mechanical parts by using various methods including CNC, laser welding, 3D printing and casting.
• Operated chamber for WSS modules’ environmental testing and vacuum leaking test.
• Created, managed and maintained documentations, like BOMs, SOP and troubleshooting instructions.
• Collaborated with purchase team/suppliers to make plans of PR and follow process of PO.
• Helped train operators, improve and maintain high first pass yield.
